The Equal Access to Justice Campaign is an annual fundraising drive that reaches out to lawyers, law firms, corporations, and the community to seek critical funds to support DVAP's efforts to provide civil legal aid to the poor in our community. It is co-sponsored by the Dallas Bar Association and Legal Aid of Northwest Texas.

In today’s economy, the need for legal aid for the poor is great, while available resources are limited. The Campaign for Equal Access to Justice is asking area residents for the first time to contribute to this necessary effort. By donating just $1,275, you can help 10 families.

Only in criminal cases does the government provide legal counsel to the indigent. Through the Campaign for Equal Access to Justice, local lawyers support the operations of the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program (DVAP), which provides civil legal services. Dallas-area attorneys also provide almost $4 million in pro bono legal work, shouldering the load of gaining access to the courts for people who can’t get justice otherwise.
